OUR PARTNERSHIPS WITH ASSOCIATIONS

Association SAVE LA MERMAID

"The SAVE LA MERMAID association, founded in Seignosse in 2021 by professional surfer Maud Le Car, is an ecological non-profit organisation dedicated to preserving the oceans.

It organises friendly litter-picking events on beaches and in nature, bringing together ocean lovers and enthusiasts to share their love of the sea while acting together for its preservation, following the example of the hummingbird. These events also provide an opportunity for non-judgemental exchanges, with participants sharing tips on how to reduce their everyday plastic consumption, while raising awareness through art and the reuse of marine plastic waste.

The association's main aim is to inspire a change in mentality by raising public awareness of marine plastic pollution. With this in mind, the association has set up a series of ocean initiatives called "Mer Maid Day". Taking part in one of these litter-picking days is both fun and a way of helping the ocean.

The "Mer Maid Days" bring together ocean lovers and enthusiasts to work together to clean up the plastic waste that pollutes our beaches, all in a friendly atmosphere. These events combine business with pleasure, providing an opportunity for people to meet, talk and share their passion for the ocean, the environment, surfing, art, fitness, yoga and healthy, waste-free eating.

Activities such as the litter-picking competition, with its many prizes to be won, appealed to and motivated children and adults alike.

NEXT MER MAID DAY ON 14/08/2023

Association QUATRE PATTES UN TOIT

"Quatre Pattes, un Toit was set up in May 2022 after realising that existing associations in France were sorely lacking in places to take in abandoned animals. The association operates throughout the Gironde. Quatre Pattes, un Toit is a non-profit association under the 1901 Act. Run entirely on a voluntary basis, its aim is to carry out sterilisation campaigns with the support of local authorities and partner vets. It also rescues cats and kittens that can be socialised and put up for adoption. The association is also involved in rescuing puppies and dogs found on the public highway, whether unidentified or abandoned.

We would like to thank the team at Quatre Pattes, un Toit who helped us track down stray cats, sterilise them and find them a family. They also helped us to set up a feeding site during the winter period.
